We Need Your Help
CFDMedics is a nonprofit organization completely supported by you, the members. Our Site is run and owned by our members .We encourage every member to contribute to our site fund in any way that they can. Since we do not have our site or bandwidth donated we have to pay our bills every month to keep things going. For those of you who can, we ask that you make a monetary contribution in whatever denomination you would like. Every little bit counts.
Just for your information Donations are to keep this site going of which is only about 60.00 a year. Any other money donated will be given to Charity. Our donations will be in a Paypal account of which all can view. Any one can submit a charity and I will start a poll as to who we send it to.
The same will go for Advertisements on our site. We have the free Classifieds area but anyone can have a banner ad placed on site for a donation.
The Featured Ad area comes from the FREE classified section, so post your ads, services etc. If you sell it, rent it or service it make a donation to our site for charity.

I will have my paramedic and want to get hired to the FD as a medic and hopefully work over to the fire side. can anyone give me any info on how i could get started from online here. or a rough idea oh how long the process takes.

kgsems9Mar 01: 18:28yeah I don't think there is any way the city would wait till the next fire test to hire medics seeing as, if the trend continues as it has since 1985, the next test won't be until 2015. The city has, as far as I have seen it, opened up the medic list every 3-4 years shortly after the old list finishes.
medic/ffburbsMar 01: 18:06Well if they are in the 400's then they should be pretty close to opening a new list because Daley said he is mad about the overtime. They need to keep hiring after these 100 or so are done with the process.
